$350.00 just to replace the right hand leather strip on the drivers seat seems a little rich to me. Anyone had that done, and what did it cost you?

mike,
i was quoted $500 to replace leather on all four bolsters (ie the part where your shoulders rest)and to repaint the rest of the front seats.
so i would say 350 is a bit rich dude!

hope this helps, BT

Anymore news on this?
I like to get the RH leather on my drivers seat re-trimmed and would like to know what kind of $$$ I'll be looking at... and if the color will match reasonably well.

I think it all comes down to what quality leather you decide to use. My leather job cost $3700 but half of that went to purchasing the leather itself.

Hmm yeah I kind of just want the patch fixed and the steering wheel/shifter done.

I'd love custom leather but I'd probably dump that kind of money into a Supercharger instead.

You guys have to keep in mind that unlike vinyl that is sold off the roll, leather has to be bought in certain quantities, usually in 1/2 or whole hides. Especially after colour/grain matching, the un-requiered materials are often of no use to anyone, hence why the cost is passed onto the consumer.

Hmmm yeah I suppose I may as well get some other stuff re-trimmed at the same time... the question is what to get done as my interior is in pretty good nick, bar the steering wheel.

Yep, Ben's right about that. I still have some leftover leather that I'm going to send to S.A. to get my steering wheel and gear shifter done.
