Well, at around 2pm after reading a few things here I figured I'd clean my air con filter. I pulled it out and it was caked with black stuff, hair, sticks and other bits and peices.
After I pulled that out I figured "hey, why not fix up the DVD player instead of having those cables hanging out the front of the glovebox" so I started pulling more apart. I cut the hole inside the glovebox so the DVD player sat back in further and ran the cables so they where all hidden like.
While I was there I figured "hey, why not try and get rid of that annoying engine whir noise that happens when you use the DVD player?"
That's when I struck trouble haha. I spent hours googleing and searching forums figureing there *must* be an easy fix. I ended up trying about 5 different ways others had reported they got it working without engine noise and it hit about 10pm so it was too late to try to buy a earth loop isolator. I cracked it and gave up, put everything back together and am now drinking beer to try and get over the frustration haha
Although, I do feel good (as I always do when I find a howto here and finish it and see the results) as now I can keep my cigg lighter panel down instead of having the cable running from the glovebox to it. So cheers soarer central.
That's my story, it's not a great one, I may or may not write a book about it one day... hahah
