Lol Daniel, an old mate thought this commodore was trying to drag him on the freeway so he gave it to his car, he didn't realise the commodore was an unmarked cop car. He was driving over the limit (alcohol and speed) and this happened 15 minutes passed midnight after the hoon laws started. Got done big time.

Now this is Silly ..... all weekend I've been sitting here cursing that I didn't have a car to drive, but, stupidly enough (YES I've already proven my stupidity - SHUT UP !!!) My Dad's partners car has been sitting in the carport the whole time !!!! She asked to me run it now and then so ... DERRRRRRRRRR
AND; don't you think it's even DUMBER that I am still allowed to drive anyway ???? Why punish the CAR ????
My licence should have been suspended on the spot. WTF ?????
I had just 'endangered peoples lives' and breached EPA reg's but I could've been home 50 minutes later, grabbed the Civic and gone out driving like an arsehole straight away !!!!!!!!!

"they gave me a whopper fine of $461"
Try a $1570 donation to the policemans ball. Actually, try telling the missus you are giving $1570 away to a really, really stupid cause. That was a pretty dark day.

Juzza I have been following this story for the past few days and have to commend you on your entertainment value, and the degree of insight you have, both personal and in general reflection. Yes it was dumb etc etc, BUT I must say there is also a good side to this, and that is we may all be getting older, but it clearly doesn't mean we have to grow up!!! Oh! I forgot, - Happy Birthday too!!:-)

SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO THINK ABOUT .........
If you are caught doing a burnout/powerslide/drift/fishtail OR street racing OR exceeding any speed limit by more than 45kph you WILL have your car Impounded.
You will also be charged with Dangerous Driving and/or an EPA Breach which WILL involve going before a Magistrate.
After your Impound Period has expired you will be up for $360.00+ (48 Hrs) to retrieve your vehicle. You will need PHOTO ID to collect your car as well. If your Licence has been Cancelled in the meantime, you can present your current registration papers AND a photocopy of a friend's Licence/Passport to be signed at the time of collection on a Stat' Dec' - your friend must be with you. My car was taken to Essendon Airport - I'm not sure if there are other Impound Yards but I it was confiscated in Heidelberg so luckily it wasn't that far from my place.
Remember a SECOND Offence carries a 3 Month Impoundment.
I am currently experiencing extreme paranoia driving anywhere because (as you know) the TT ass end can wriggle around and the wheels can spin easily causing blue tyre smoke (even in a straight line).
A simple and innocent squirt reaching Full Boost could see the car off for ANOTHER holiday if I get a Cop who sees things differently.
Fair enough if you're deliberately driving like an arsehole but sometimes this just isn't the case.

I can tell you it's not a nice feeling standing there while your car is being dragged onto a flatbed tow truck on the side of the road. I copped a fair bit of flack and abuse from passing motorists the whole time.
As I mentioned before, you will probably have your car ruthlessly scrutinised right there on the spot with a view to Defect the vehicle. These guys even called in a Senior Detective to asses wether or not the Semi-Slicks were legal.
Needless to say the MARLEW Special passed all these inspections

Sorry Juzza, but having owned a TT, this is never going to happen UNLESS you want it to. If you drive it like a regular car, like 98% of the population, burnouts won't be a problem.
We had our TT for quite a while and the only time we ever lit 'em up was when we deliberately set out to do it, and a couple of times in the wet till we got used to the car.

Well - with the suspension set-up that I like to run PLUS even only 15 PSI she wants to let go. There's no point winding down the BOOST anymore than that - I might as well be driving the V8 again

Did anyone see the spot on A Current Affair about "hoons" with the Soarer speedo showing 180? Obviously had an RSM. Actually, it's just clicked that they would have been doing over 180. I'm quietly wondering if that was anyone on here... (Not like you'd own up to it on a public forum, and I'm not inferring it was anyone here)

Haha Ollie.. Good tyres ( 265's on the back) and any kinda full throttle acceleration Whether standing still or rolling, from me involves some tyre frying.
