In my announcement I made it clear that it wasn't mine however now it is!
After *much* negotiation (more with my wife than the seller) I managed to secure the beast for an undisclosed sum. ;)
It's leaving via TNT logistics tomorrow from NSW to WA. I should have it around the 31st.
If there are more people keen to put in a Soarer entry at this years Western Salon as part of the club then I could bring down this Soarer (as well as my TT) as part of the line-up...
After 4 years with the TT I'm now looking forward to experience a supercharged v8...
I especially like the line "there's enough braking power here to change the earth's orbit"!
It annoys me though when they get basic soarer facts wrong..."As most would know, these were actually released onto the Australian market badged as a Lexus SC400"...

Purely this is just to tease you Gregg, but it looks very similar to the best Soarer that I ever owned. You're just copying me again, aren't ya?? . Of course with quite a few differences namely the charger.
Jokes aside, great looking car mate. Make me miss my old one.

Greg, You will have to start sweet talking the missus AGAIN..hahahha Intercooling will ONLY be for a Twin Screw.
Yella Terra have a W2A IC for the YT1500 ( $2,800 ) Its the * Tower of Terror * 55 or 75mm thick from memory.
Bonus with your Charged Soarer is that it has a Richwood Manifold on it, so that means the top plate can come off and another installed ( I can supply a new plate for you ) You also have Rush Extractors on there, I supplied them to Croydon Exhaust.

Mate you wouldn't believe the sweet talking I've already done and now you say I need to do more!!!... I guess in the scheme of things it's "do-able". It's not like adding the cost of the charger in the first place...
What's your opinion of the seller suggesting that it should push out another 40rwkw with further tune even without intercooling? The setup is using Haltech for engine management which I'm not familiar with at all... but given the overall setup in your experience is he being a bit generous...
Also with the Water to Air "Tower of Terror" (gotta love the marketing guys) what would be the likely psi I could safely push her to roughly? Estimated rwkw?
Good news about the Richwood Manifold and your extractors! I was thinking in the back of my mind that they were probably a "rush job"

Ha - I'm quoting myself!! - With a bit more research I have deduced that this would be fantasy.... I would probably be lucky to get an extra 20 - 30rwkw AFTER cooling and agressive psi..
I'm attempting to get my head around all the supercharger topics/capabilities and options! I've only had eyes for turbos over the last 4 years!!...

What power has it got now Gregg ?
I got 212kw out mine on 250cc Injectors at about 8-9psi.
T of T should see you at about 12-15psi with tuning.. But the Rootes gets HOT at these higher Boost Temps. At higher boost SAFER to run a Twin Screw.( Also less chance of overdriving the blower )
Just enjoy the car for now and we will work on the higher stuff latter on mate..Ok
If you DO decide to get into the higher boost area. Do the Trans up first

Cheers guys and thanks Neil,
Well according to the magazine article (Which would obviously need to be proven) it's currently quoted at 194rwkw at 8psi with 440 injectors and upgraded fuel pump (Walbro) - Along with the Haltech engine management...
The trans has an oil cooler on it at the mo and the diff has a torsen LSD centre. Gear box has been fitted with a shift kit...
But yeah, just enjoying it "as is" first is the way to go...

Thats not to bad Greg, I got 212 on 8 with 250 injectors.
I now have some 390's to install and should manage 230 odd ( These are to be installed in Jan's Soarer with a little more boost ) May touch the 250 mark !!
Jan you will not be able to drive it anymore, since you got use to the truck! So you better leave the Soarer at my place for a while, after Neil is finished with it! Neil we have the , but Jan will need the sound of the !
