Well, f*ck.
Once again friggin Darwin has done it to me. I've been without SPEED (The artist formerly known as TT2500) for over threee weeks now.
Why?
Because I simply wanted to get my new fuel system and ecu wired in.
I dropped the car off EXTRA EARLY, because, from past experiences, nothing gets done on time here. The old ecu is out, and a new fuel system is in (An 040 feeding an 044....good times!)
The Haltech dealer was supposed to come up here and wire up the latest and greatest on Monday the 16th. On wedensday, he's AWOL,claiming the ECU's hadnt been sent. Saturday, he says hes on his way with my ECU.
Today> Nothing. Cant call him. Cant call the shop. All answering machines. Even hacked into Telstra to try and find a mobile number. Nothing but Bigpond (sucker). This doesnt look good for Haltech. Especially after I called the head office, and all they did was cold transfer me to his f*ckin messagebank because they didnt want to face my complaints.
So, now my tuner looks like a total retard explaining to 4 customers why he doesnt have any ECU's in stock and why their cars are sitting idle in his shop. Its happened so many times to me, in fact EVERY SINGLE TIME I've gone to get something done thats car related in Darwin, its been f*cked. And its not like public transport is easily available here, lucky i have a spare car.
Im actually thinking about moving back to melbourne and shooting as many civillians on the way as I can, in the hope that perhaps they wont breed. Its soooooo hard to get things done, and while this is just a rant, I hope it will deter any potential enthusiasts from wasting their time trying to get anything done here. Christ, I bought an LCD screen today, asked the sales fag for a DVI cable specifically to hook into the monitor that i just bought from him. The tard gives me a cable, gaurantees its the right one. You think Im looking at that LCD screen right now? Its in the bin in small pieces now cause after today I could have killed someone. In fact im glad I sold my rifle because I almost snapped today. I actually for a moment felt like what some of those goth american students must have felt like seconds before they snapped.
Advice: Get EVERYTHING you can done in a PROPER capital city before you get to this

Hey Aaron,
Make a list. You know one of those postal worker type lists. I did. Those effin boom gates at Darwin airport are on it, same as the parking meters, half of that terrorist loving government to the north, some lazy slimy jack co-workers, 'civil minded' libertarians who make the simplest tasks harder than following origami instructions in russian braile, the tax m...
Oh. wrong forum. That group class is on wednesday night.

I feel your pain dude, but seriously, whats smashing an LCD screen accomplished other than a temporary relief of your anguish ? What are you gonna do... keep smashing LCD screens to make yourself feel better ? would be costly hey ? what comes after LCD screens ? Alcohol ? Tackle your problems head on, without smashing things
Sorry to hear about all this, must be a up the ass.

Between the fact that Darwin is in its own little world with petrol prices, and the fact that there are more people in my council area than all of NT, yeah, come back south. Down Mexico way...
Seriously, that blows man!!! Rifle, who needs that, much more fun with a cricket bat

Well, you kick and scream and whine enough, look what happens. Your Haltech guy decides to rock up, unannounced, wondering why the dyno isnt free? Goddamn it, finally!
Okay, people you can come out now, the monsters gone....

Aaron, Looks like things have not changed in Darwin, When I was there in late 80's, all the places you would go to get something done had the same line..Sorry mate have to get it freighted in it will take a few day's (usually weeks)....I also remember when my wife rocked up to her hairdresser 20mins early...The hairdresser was shocked because the locals would sometimes rock up half an hour late and still want to be served!
I know how you feel. I've been waiting for my car to get fixed for about 6 weeks now (fingers crossed it goes in next week to the smash repairs doot doot!!)
