Nissan make more exciting cars
but Toyota make better engines.
Just look at the Skylines, 300ZX, 180SX, 200SX etc. The best Nissan engine is the RB. It was used in the VK Commodore, and I drove a Patrol for 10 years with a RB30. Sweet engine, still as good as new at 250k
The Soarer is a fantastic car, with fantastic engine(s), but looks a bit bland (which suits me). I've taken the badges off, so few know what it is. Only when (if) people get inside the car, they start commenting on all the leather/options/gadgets/comfort.
On the other hand, people comment on the 300ZX (convertible) wherever I go. A couple of 8 year olds yelled out 'nice car' today as I was driving down the streat. Nobody ever come up and said anything when I've been driving the Soarer, it blends in.
(used to happen all the time with the Jag MK2 though)
But I rather drive the Soarer to work than any Nissan. Luxury couch on wheels as the last owner called it when I bought it. (goes pretty well for a couch though)

The VL has the RB30 it in Cheif... The VK had a holden engine with a german fuel injection system on it i think.
either way, it chewed oil...
I'll Agree with the more exciting car by Nissan too. There is only one other Japanese car i would trade my soarer in for, and that would be an S15. My old S13 in terms of driving fun was way more exciting to drive, however, ALOT less reliable. Gimme The soarer anyday!!!

S15's have so many little niggles (unstoppable droney exhausts etc) that it puts you off. There's several cars I'd trade my soarer in for, R32 or R33 GT-R, a Chaser or Aristo, etc, but value for money the soarer brings it home.
