i was just wondering if it was possible to import a soarer to not get it complied? to use as a base for a project car? i intend to use all the running gear, engine, suspension, gearbox etcetc. i thought if i could import a running car from Japan might work out cheaper than buying the whole shebang here. . .if possible. any insights would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

IF you have the top of the line CAMS racing license and can be arsed with all the paperwork, should work out nice and easy for you :-)

Basically you can only bring it in if you intend on using it as a designated race car, and can PROVE it, it just ain't gonna happen any other way.

At the price you can pick a Soarer up for on Ebay..Why bother.. !!

A V8 sold yesterday for $4,040.

Shipping $2,500 roughly
