Might wanna check out the commonwhore forums, its been done a few times with VK and VL commodores. I think it'd be better in a VB or VH commo, SLE rims, FE2 springs, plenty of tint and a good factory airbox for the ultimate sleeper. Best thing is you could get a trimatic or T400 bellhousing adapter from CRS and make it sweet as! Total control over your gear changes with an off teh shelf B&M ratchet. S-L-E-E-P-E-R |

I'd go for something that predates 1980 in a Holden/Ford if i was going to play with either of the brands. But then putting a jap/turbo engine in to an older car like that (which claim a muscle descent) is like that rb26 in the Mustang or whatever the •••• the butchered in that drifting tokyo fast and crappy. |

Its been done a few times. Some guy on here was running a Commodore (VS?) use with a 2Jzizzle in it on LPG too. |

That Vn looks great. Id love to do something like that.
But keep it grandpa style. Just another •••••• old $1k Vn commo with faded paint, then take off. No one would suspect a thing. I sold my mate mine, kinda wish I didnt now.
Although that VN has to have the worst tail lights Ive ever seen. |

Michael given the availability and price difference between a 1jz and a 2jz its not surprising the smaller engine is a common swap |

My mate has a 2jz in a Vt commo... car looks totaly stock, it has a black fmic and silenced exhaust. Goes like a rocket, and the faces are priceless |

A couple of people have put 1jz's into Vk/Vl on Toymods so I would do a search over there |

Yes Chris. That is Nev's from up your way. He took me for a drive in it on Sunday. It goes quite well!! It should too, as it's around 300kg lighter than a Soarer. |
