Ok have a tiny leak from the rocker cover. need a gasket, where would you guys recommend to buy a good quality one. Have been told they get imported haha.
Also i need rectified once and for all whether i can use Dexton II or III or do i need to use Toyota Type IV. Says Dexton II on the dipstick but have been told by the DIY Flush thread to use type 4 and then again have heard that only applies to the v8s. Gotta organise it soon.

I've been told that if you have the shift kit you can run Dex III but you need like a good 20lts of the stuff to do it I picked up a 4lt tin i think it is of type IV for $23.39 last year and i got 3 of it at that price.... so it isn't as dear as people make out.

Go see Adam or Evan in the parts department at Jarvis Toyota at St Mary's. Tell them you're with the ALSC and they will hook you up. I got 2 new cam covers there (you need one per cover) for $31.75ea. They are in stock in Brisbane so it will only be a 1-2 day wait
Do you guys recommend using sealant on the gaskets? I thought it was pretty much mandatory until a mate told me it wasn't (works as a mechanic for a Lexus dealership).

I just used Ultracopper. Especially around the bends. Also makes it less likely for the gasket to fall off the cam covers as you lower them back into the car.
