Was using a constant 15lt per 100kms BUT I found out recently that I had a faulty ECU so unsure what I really should have been getting.

I have seen 180 on my speedo, same deal, in the outback before the laws changed....

Those photos are HOT!!!

Makes me desire a paint job to clean up the car and make her look much better :-)

Suprisingly not really, just had the lanyard around my wrist...

I had one of 179 but it's to hard to take due to speed cut hitting, and the 178 wasn't the clearest photo so 177 is good enough and for those interested my gps was saying 174km/h so 3km/h difference at the top end of the speedo I was happy it's normally around 3-4km/h out before it used to be 8km/h with the rims that are in my profile. Don't understand how that one works as I used the rubber off the old rims to put onto these wheels.

MMM one would think however, the ecu has major drama's and is being fixed today or tomorrow. When I got to Darwin it was using 17lt/100km around town, i normally get 12's or lower so yeah they don't know how the car was still running... Bit of a worry considering I done like 4800kms in a week.

If you go to general chat and look for Bandiana to Palmerston Fuel Consumption it's what I used.

Haha, Too busy are you these days? Understandable - Its pretty easy to get what you want done being a student - Especially over the holidays, Still I'm now back at school for the finial year so soarer time devotion will have to be reserved to only Sundays! Hence why many wax coats, To keep it clean and protected... :-)

Yeah One Tree Hill alright... Thats Mt Eden in the distance of the first picture. :-) They didn't turn as well as I had planed, The ones at my pals place on the road had a much better light.... :-)

But if thats not the case your pretty game doing 180km without the car up to operating Temp.

LoL N00BS
That is my operating temp.
It went one bar higher but, that was taken after 100kms at least as you can see via the odometer.

And it sat on that speed for two days :-) Sad to say 178km/h now feels slow.

Soarer is in the workshop getting the ecu reman'd as it has itself but by sounds of it has been gone for a while and I knew about some of the bugs too... Ie the car not starting correctly and giving an engine electrical light.

Actually I had been driving for nearly 3hrs. Looking at the time, also has new coolant and wetter water in it by redline.

From where I am sitting it looks like it's one notch below normal, but the pic could have been taken on an angle. Also? Who does 110km on the ODO prove anything? You could have done 110km, pulled over, had the car sit for 2 hrs, then get back in and hammer it in the guts before it's fully warmed up lol.

Well IF you read more of it, it clearly says I'd been driving for 3hrs.
I was on my way to Darwin so if you've ever been up this way you just don't stop for 2hrs in the middle of no where.... And I doubt the car would have cooled down in these temps anyways, considering under bonnet temps are now around the 170degrees mark not the 120odd you southern experience :-)

Maybe it's time you done a coolant change. That is now my normal operating temp and if 4800kms doesn't prove that then well maybe you need some more tech data on your own car.

So can you confirm it is in the middle, or it's slightly in the cold side?

It was my understanding that it is VERY rare for it to read anything below dead centre especially when it's as hot as you say it is. The only instances I've read about where it dips below the middle is in MEGA cold situations, not hot ones.

Perhaps your thermostat is on the fritz?

It is slightly in the COLD side.

Mines always been 75% on the cold side and 25% on the middle but yeah even with a thermostat change which was done when the coolant was done, as I had to put another radiator in. Well a 2nd hand one.
