After painting
Photo taken at night. I will post some photos taken during daylight tomorrow, including the wheels.
All I did for the cooler was spray with matt black acrylic. I did not use an etch primer at all so the paint will not have great adhesion but it is not a high traffic surface so I'll see how it goes.
For the wheels I stripped back my previous painting effort (gold) and the original dirty charcoal finish. Etch primed, surface primed, 4 coats of jet black gloss acrylic, and 3 coats of clear coat acrylic. I will need to cut and polish the gloss clear coat to really bring out the shine but it is OK off the gun for an amateur!

Well it is pretty hard to get a photo showing off my FMIC. I guess the matt black is doing it's job. Once the shadow of the front bar covers the cooler it is pretty hard to capture on camera. Here is the best I could get.

Hey Ben great job on the new look. I have been thinking of doing the same thing to my FMIC but was lead to belive that it (the intercooler) would loose some of its effectiveness to disperse heat. Any proof of this? Any thoughts on the matter greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sorry Guys- I'm away from home and the car. I have no pics with me, but everything under the bonnet is polished anyway. Stealth thing is from the outside only.
No noticeable difference with the paint. There has been exhaustive discussion on this forum about paint/no paint argument.
Don't worry unless your car is very marginal and on the ragged edge (in which case paint should be the last thing on your mind).
