Honestly Peter the only other soarers i have driven were when i was test driving before purchasing my current car. Most of those were airbag V8's. Yes, my previous car was and still is a go-cart, a Suzuki Swift GTI lowered on very stiff springs. I'm thinking the coilovers will go along way towards achieving the feel i'm after, i will then look at the wheel and tyre combination. Currently on the stock 7" rims i have 225/50/16 tyres which i think might be too wide to be ideal(for these rims). When i shut the door the car noticeably rocks, the movement seems due to flex in the sidewalls. I'm sure something could also be done to increase steering wheel feel by modifing the power steering. Thanks for your interest, i guess i'll know more in a couple of weeks.

What aspect of the steering is it that has you annoyed Paul? Turn in, lateral grip, body roll?
Before I threw my coil overs and sway bars at it body roll was shocking and steering wheel feedback was nearly non-existent.
Since the upgrade, things are much improved in the handling department. Steering feedback still isn't the best I've driven, this has been the case with the few soarers Ive had the pleasure of driving.
I think its a result of it being a 'luxury' GT. The Supra, that shares many of the same suspension components, has absolutely brilliant steering wheel feedback by comparison.
The thing that annoys me with my current set-up is the seats. Bloody comfy they are (probably about 80% of my suspension at the moment too lol), but Id like some more lateral bolstering.
Might have to find some Brides or similar to throw in at some point. The car turns in well enough and maintains enough lateral grip that I find myself wedging various body parts against the door, centre console to stay somewhere near the steering wheel.

I will be installing Tein flex coilovers shortly but i just found this information, can anyone clarify this for me? The following info was taken from the website shown below.
To install the kit w/o uppermount onto the vehicle mounted with TEMS,need OE mount for the non-TEMS vehicle. [Precautions on EDFC installation] *Rr;Cover above mount needs to be removed.
