| Well guys. Time for another update. Still no Piccy's as camera is DOA. I managed to score a spare fan pump (thanks Yarno) and also got my one welded up and re-fitted (thanks Latsus). The problem was caused when some of a previous owner fitted a '31 Air con compressor and didn't change the rear housing to suit the '32 mountings, which left it hanging off 2 bolts only on the side of the fan pump (the bit that cracked and leaked). So while I had the pump off and in pieces I also pulled the air con compressor off and changed the rear housing (thanks Grampa). Another part of the problem was the lower stud that clamps the fan pump to the big front housing pulled the thread out behind it, This meant front housing plate off (again) to fix. I think this bloody car spends more time in maintenance than it does on the road. Further to the power steering problem, Whilst the car was in bits I had a bit of a look around and saw a bit of steering fluid weeping out of a [vent?] hole in the sid of the pressure/flow controller. I flushed it all out with contact cleaner and my god what a difference it made to the steering. It was fantastic (for 20 minutes) and then started again with it's old tricks. Every time I flush it, it gets better for a while so I'm semi confident this may be the problem. After sourcing another valve/sensor (thanks again Yarno) I have not had a moment to even contemplate what a prick of a job it's gonna be, let alone had time to attempt it. Anyway, The footings are down and the frame should be up next week for the new shed, and we have a hoist to go in the shed, so that should make it slightly more bearable of a job. Still gonna be a I'll be off to America early the week after next so it looks like my baby will sit in the shed some more while I'm away. I'll have to get some more photo's one day. Hopefully I can find a 17x8 TT supra wheel to complete my set and then get some photo's with new wheels. Hooray. |

| Well, 6 months on and here's where I'm at. I've finally realised my car hates me. Now the air con compressor has seized up good. So now I need another one. This will be the 4th or 5th time I've pulled the air con compressor off this car. My stacker is still a work in progress. I found a coolant leak in the same place as the boss's. I changed that little valve, but my steering is still playing funny buggers. I got second place at the dyno day. I got my windows tinted. A cat back exhaust fitted and finally got around to doing the BFI. I fixed the brake fluid level sensor. Still running on stock wheels. Put a new set of plugs in. Got a hoist to go in the new shed, just have to assemble it. That's about it for now. |

| Yeah, if I can find a master cyl, and abs unit and pump assy, also I'm after a TRC throttle body. But not urgently, It's for a project in the future. And more urgently, I need a new air con compressor. A UZZ 30/31 or 32 will work. |

| Well, It's been a pretty rough coupla weeks. My 28 yo cousin finally succumbed to his Cystic Fibrosis, after finally getting his double lung transplant last year. Just when everything was starting to look up for the poor guy. And yesterday arvo....
Some stupid bogan yokel decides to pull out of a side road, about 30 meters in front of me, leaving me with basically a choice of driving into a creek at 100 KPH, or T boning him at 100 KPH. Fortunately, I had enough room to manouver whilst under extreme hard braking and managed to miss him and just clip the arse end of his trailer.
Kinda sad really, sitting on 100, Little sister in the car, damp roads, taking it real easy, and it was so nearly so bad because some stupid didn't bother to check properly up the road before driving his barge ass ute and trailer right across the road in front of me. Fortunately everyone managed to walk away uninjured, It could easily have been 5 fatalities. One instance where airbags could have resulted in a nasty result, after trying to blow my hands off the wheel, and filling the car with smoke, it makes it quite difficult to keep control and avoid the big bastard trees that line the road. Rumour is, he doesn't have any insurance, so it will cheer me up a bit when my insurance company tears him a new asshole, but I doubt it will bring my car back. So after everything my car and I have been through, it's kinda a sad pitiful way to go out. Keep a good eye out. You never know when that stopped at the side road is going to pull out right in front of you. |

| This is sad, very sad, young guy at 28 with most of his good years in front of him. We take health for granted too often. lucky you and your sister made it ok out of this crash. There will be another, better car waiting for you Dan. Stay positive, it is only a car. You are well, that is what matters most. |

| Bad news both ways there Dan. Glad you and your Sister are OK at least - pity you didn't manage to take out the bogan though - that would have been worth bonus points... |

| Hey Dan, sorry about the carnage. I had a gorgeous soarer a few years ago and my wife got tapped in the rear 1/4, sent her spinning head on into a wall. Rest assured, I will personally take out 2 bogans to make up for the death of your Active. |

| Oh no. Glad to know everyone is ok, but sorry to hear about another 32 getting wasted Is it going to be a write off for financial reasons or write off for safety reasons etc. How much would it cost to restore it now? |
