This has probably been done to death, but the new owner of our old Soarer wants to recolour the car burgundy. The standard red griffon doesn't suit this colour. I believe griffons come in other colours, is this true (I've never seen other than red, including those for sale) and does anyone know where the various colour griffons can be obtained? Part numbers would be helpful so the new owner can attempt to order one. Thanks, in advance.

My winged lion (its not really a Griffon, to be anal about it) is the usual colour, and my car is probably what most people would call burgundy, and I think it looks fine.

Mike, my stoopid parts DVD has carked it at the mo, but I do remember that there are 3 variations depending on body colour.
I bought a new one to replace the "L" badge in July of this year, and the part number was: 75301 - 24030 - 11. The 75301 - 24030 is the base number, with the - 11 being the colour variation. Sooo, if he gives a Toyota dealer the base number, hopefully they can tell him the variations by the suffix (if ya get what I mean!)

Thanks, Don. The AO one is the one the car already has (and in better nick than the one on the '97, too). What colour was the -11 one you fitted to your car? The one for pearl white cars is red, of course.
