I believe you would be talking about a Mazda Roadpacer. Holden and Mazda's half hearted attempt to introduce BIG cars to Japan. Failed dismally due to the 13B's lack of torque and peaky power delivery. Would be quite a collectors item if it is in good original condition though.

You lot call yourselves car nuts and you have never heard about a Mazda Roadpacer??? I'm disappointed with you all.
They were supposedly found mainly in the Mazda executive car park, as no one else wanted them.

There was one of these for sale in Auckland when we lived there some years ago. It even had the dorky Japanese mirrors on the front guards.

As Ben says they were a factory model, albeit a dismal attempt.

As featured in the Lemons book by Tony Davis. I have top speed of 157km/h, 98kw of power. It was no quicker than a standard six cylinder Holden Premier but used much more fuel.
It did have luxury features such as central locking (that locked auotmatically over 10km/h, somewhat like a Soarer!), power steering, dual air conditioning and a car fridge (!).
They were released somewhat ironically on April 1 in Japan.
They were also driven out of the market by the "wide car tax" Japan imposed to keep foreign products out of their market.

Hmmm, To be honest I couldn't think of anything worse.

An Old gutless rotary pulling a heavy, soft and a lofty chassis around.......

How revolting!

At 26L per 100km, I've never seen a 1.3L motor get worse fuel consumption.

those prices are way too expensive. 95 GTS-T skylines sell for an average of $6,000 USD at the ASNET car auctions in Japan.
