| Don, maybe if you made a bit of noise you might not have gotten the love tap? |

| Mike I assume you've still got the standard headers? Also Quick Qn, that price for the mufflers and install $400+$400 did that also include the larger piping? Sounds beautiful mate! I'm way jealous.. |

| Yeah, Stock headers and cats with new 2.25" tube all the way back. I think it needs headers really though as its a bit quiet and more power from the headers maybe a good Idea - I was going to try rush headers but I dont really want to spend the extra - If your going to do a system I suggest you do them though. Thanks for all your kind comments |

Hmmmm, yes possibly, but I drive like an old nanna anyway, so she wouldn't have been "Barking" |

| Well! I tested the 0-100km/h time on my buddies G-Timer and got a very, very pleased with - 6.3 seconds to 100km/h! That best out of a few trials - Most were 6.4-6.6 but this 2nd to last one was probably the best as the tyres were warming up nicely... Im very pleased with the performance now Surface was tar-seal... so on the strip it will be a tad higher as the grip level is alot lower still I could see much lower 15s to high 14s quite easily now! Love the UZZ30s they are just a great example of light weight quick Soarer V8. Next focus for the majority of this year is to replace bits and pieces around the car to keep it tidy, this is including bushes, mounts and electrical ignition gear for the engine and so on - I want this to stay running nicely for years to come! Once all what I want has been done to get the car mechanically stable for many years/kms, larger wheels, TT brakes all around, uni-chip and lsd will be on the cards This of course will be all over next year most likely... Enough for now and Im more than happy! |

| Need to get our BFI's sorted at some stage too. Julie will be working most of next weekend, so I might have some time to finish mine off - if I end up happy with the result I'll make up a spare top cover for you, if you want it. |

| I just spray painted the exhaust welds and tube with heat proof paint to make it look nicer and to keep it from gathering rust on the welds... Most satisfied with how it looks now - Best of all it will last alot longer Such simple things can really be quite pleasing! |

| Hi guys, Just a query I have about rear muffler selection. (Ive placed it in hear instead of a new post ) Well, when I got my Lukey Ultra flo mufflers on my old soarer in 2.25" size they sounded great, but they also had this tinny burble that I didn't like that much.... So does anyone know of a muffler that gives out a nice deep sound but with out the tinny burble? Ive notice this is quite common on lukeys... Any advice would be good, Ive searched but no clear answer to this problem is coming up. |

| Do NOT forget, Mr.beck, that mufflers have to "Bed in" before they sound at their "Optimum" sound level.............Ask around the exhaust shops!.

Yes thats true Don, Even after 2 months I noticed it did get deeper in sound, but it still had the tinny note while accelerating, I also noticed this on the rafaga which had one of the same mufflers, that was taken off when I sold it and put onto the soarer so one was very very well worn in by the time I sold the soarer... Hmmm I think for a start Ill make use of the stock mufflers and go from there when doing the exhaust. However - I got the more important task of servicing the thing, must have everything running well before I push the car harder! |

| Hmmm, what I also might get the muffler man to do, Is put a flange just after the rear muffler so I can replace it with straight 2.25" Pipe and put the tips on there, Should give a interesting bark without any mufflers and give optimum performance when an event calls for it.... Then of course, stock mufflers for semi stealth mode could be bolted back on... hmmmm could be quite good actually! |
