Hey peoples... Just curious, what top speed have people hit in a soarer on the street? And Q:2... what sort of speed could a soarer with mild breathing mods, and a little more boost hit? Cheers |

I was booked at 170, as they didn't know the exact speed I was doing, and the "but these cars are limited to 180 officer" kinda helped. |

I hit 180km/h just after the finish line over the 1/4 mile. Trap speeds of 174-176km/h and just after the finish line..................................................................................... BING! 180! |

Is the speed cut different on the V8's? Mine only seems to go to 179km/h, on a dyno of course.

I don't think 300 km/h is possible without some SERIOUS modifications. Factory gearing might just make it to 300, going by Ryan's picture (can't be bothered doing the proper maths). Feel free to shoot me down on this. |

Yeah ive always been curious what is the top speed a Manual TT can do.
Im not game enough to try it in my car, as i have 3pts left and no private track lol.

260 kph HAS been recorded by one of the guys on TIF in the UK, with a mildly(ish!) modded TT.

No way in hell will the soarer make 300 without major aero dynamic mods, or at least it will be unstable as all hell without them!
You'd need a flat(ish) underbody and some kinda wing to keep the arse on the deck, and a wing of sorts on the front lip to keep the front wheels happy too. Also, I've heard rumors that the stock rear bar doesn't hang on to well in the ranges of the upper 200's. |
