I'm going to have a look at a V8 91 soarer on Thursday and would like to have some tips on the things to look out for during the meet up.
Also what are some of the things I should do during the test drive? for instance, testing its brakes for a quick stop etc.
Lastly, what documents should I ask to see from the owner?
I will bring it to a mechanic as well to confirm its current state of condition. But would like to have some idea as to what to look out for when I am trying the car out first.

Thanks Peter for your post. I apologise if this thread has been posted before. It's just that I am looking to buy this car before I start my new job next week as it will be harder to meet up in the day.
I have tried searching for the words "test drive" and I have looked through pages of forum. My internet speed is not very fast so it does take some time to go through all the material.
I have found one thread which says "looking to buy a soarer" are there other ones that provide info not covered by that thread? Any input will be appreciated.

Zach, it's pretty much like test driving other cars. Watch for things that shouldn't be happening.
Example, smoke from exhaust - note however, that TT's blow black smoke (unburnt fuel) under heavy acceleration.
See if it "bumps" or clunks if you reverse a little then brake, go forward a little then brake etc, this will probably indicate shot LCA bushes (very common).
Check that all the electrics work, check the inside of the oil filler cap, what colour the coolant is, how fresh the ATF fluid is, etc.
Get a general idea of how well it has been looked after.
They will probably all feel pretty good to drive initially, so drive a couple and then you may start to notice differences.
