I'm getting tired of my early 90s SC300, even tho it has the ability of nearly 700whp if i had a good transmission.
If i were to sell it for a x100 chaser, maybe TRD edition 5spd.. do some basic upgrades (new rods, GT35 turbo, fuel, etc), would it be a nicer all around car to drive then our old ass soarers?

How are you intending to get an x100 into the states? They aren't even legal in Canada for another 4.5 years.
And I don't think it would be nicer to drive, but I'd imagine they are lighter. As you know, they get used a lot for drifting, so if that's what you want...
The Chaser has the same power at a TT Soarer but weighs 100kg less, so there's a good starting point. It also holds 4 (5?) people in comfort so there's another bonus.

That is a bouns... the Soarer only holds 2 people (the salesman lied!).
I heard the VVTI rods are weaker and break at 400bhp, can't that be solved with just a non-vvti bottom end? Or worse case, just non-vvti rods and pistons?
Since its a CT26, same as the MKIII Supra, so Ive been told... Theres plenty of 61mm bolt on units on the market. That would produce plenty of power for a street car

I really like the jzx100, Im undecided if i prefer the chaser or the mk2 (chaser probably), but I would definantly recommend one either way
I have heard the 1jz vvti turbo called a ct15b before so im not sure if its the same as ct26, but either way a bigger single would be easy to install!
If you want small and light, I wouldn't even think about a gs300! Id hate to think of my Aristo as a tank, but compared to a jzx100, its not far from the truth!!
