Hello. I have a very nice 91 TT that is lowered on Tein adjustable coil overs. Unfortunately after all the years of the front right tyre scrubbing on the guard, it has worn through, cutting some of the wiring and the bonnet release cable. The bonnet release cable has totally pulled out from the mechanism at the front of the bonnet. Any tips on how to release the mechanism? Thanks.

A sonic screwdriver would be handy. I believe setting number 14723 is release Soarer TT Bonnet.

Yes sonic screw driver, or perhaps an angle grinder. Pity Toyota uses such a good mechanism, not like the old Holden or Fords, now they were nice and easy to get open.

can you strip some of the outer cable to get a hold of the inner and pull on it?

take the plastic shielding on the sides off, grab the wire with pliers and pull while a friend with a cloth and a flat head tries gently to lift it up
