Its best time was 13.3 and the owner/driver was very dissapointed. As was the BMW M5 ( Brand new) his best time to date is a 12.8!

Do you recall at what MPH they were? I'm interested!

Who Cares Maurice

It was only 108mph from the Rs8, and 110mph from the M5. They both ran low - mid 1.9 60 footers!

Thats about the best those cars will actually run Against the " Real Clock " . Its funny how cars never seem to go as good over the 1/4 mile as they do on these Correvit / Gps timed Demo cars!

I Agree with Ben also, it wouldnt suprise me if the demo cars are filled with Top Grade Fuels and "optimised".

Well, lets just say if one rolls up next to me on the freeway, I want to know their roll on race performance. 110MPH from a stock car is good, but for $300,000 or whatever they are worth (for the M5) you'd want 120MPH at least. :-)

But those cars are built for the road, not the 1/4. I'd like to know their real times for stuff like say 80kmh-120kmh, and how quick they stop on ordinary roads.

Spot on Dan. Imagine taking a 32 Series with all the goodies and putting in about 40,000 to develop the engine and driveline to put out 450+hp in an everyday state of tune!

Then putting 30,000 into suspension and steering refinements and stereo and interior goods.

Oh my, i better wake up now:-)
