HAHA JOSE!...i was just waiting for you to see this post!
Daniel: Thats the thing, i jsut keep on buying and buying, i want to settle down on a car where i dont find needs to buy heaps of things..
The other reason being the driving i do is bumper to bumper daily, i havent seen a tank do over 400kms in a LONG time..
i really just cant afford the car with my plans for the future, so i think ill be parting it off, not doing anything crazy just yet, but looks like its going to be..

NO offence, BUT wouldnt you expect to get defected woth a front bar like that???
Looks far from legal. I remember when i first saw Simons car.. I thought WOw, But thats such an ugly and non practical front bar! Imagaine bumping into a small cut down tree and you smash your intercooler and the little bits of metal go through the engine?
the reason i love this bar is that there is no lip to clip on driveways etc..
running into a small cut down tree?..dude bending my intercooler would be the last of my worries if that happend! haha..
im through the phasae of modding nad spending, want to settle down.. Opinions, would i have more luck selling as is, or stripping it back to stock and selling off the aftermarket parts?

After trying to sell a heavily modded Rx-7 for ages and finally getting 10% of my money back I'd have to say part it out. If you have the patience strip the lot and then get a metal recycler to come take the frame away. If not just strip the non stock parts out as they will sell easily and the car is still saleable (is that a word?) for an average price.
No one is buying heavily modded cars (beyond wheels etc) in the current climate of rising fuel costs and criminal insurance costs, and those that want to aren't allowed to drive them due to changing regulations.
On the other hand you could be holding the exact car someone is lusting after right now.

Might be an idea Mate! If your thinking of selling the car. Might be easier to sell with painted stock bars... At least it is roadwrthy then. In case an interstater wants to buy it!

Shouldn't be able to get you for pod, the car is map sensored. Hot looking car man, just another jealous cop trying to make himself feel better by bring other people down. Front bar might be a bit dangerous though if you hit a pedestrian.

I never understood how Cops / RTA came up with this?
The ENTIRE car is dangerous if it hits a pedestrian, Personally I wouldn't care if I got plowed down at 80k's by Daniels front bar or a standard one, you are brown bread anyways

At high speed it maters little. At low speed the difference is important. The pedestrian is most likely to survive or suffer lower severity injuries if they can roll off the car without being split or gouged by bodywork. A little deformation in the bodywork also helps.

Its the difference between losing a leg, and just breaking or badly bruising it. But I agree, it is kinda lame. Pedestrians should look where they are going anyway. Although they are doing the gene pool a favor if they are stupid enough to walk in front of a moving car ;)

exactly pete. just look at the poor 52 year old woman yesterday doing her daily grind and some f**kwit runs the redlight on their way to work, hits and kills her. (main nth road/regency road intersection)
Look, the vehicle will currently be un-roadworthy, as i cant get it together within the 7 days, hell my first day off is on the 7th day and it ain't happening then, so will speak to see if a thin removable lip can be added to my bar, i remember Steve at mischief saying he was developing something like that for the bumper..
Ill just take the pod out, put the box back in until i make an enclosure, and my exhaust shouldn't be too loud..
I decided not to sell yet, as i haven't finished her as a project yet. Once I've completed everything i want from her then i may sell
