I just have to let fly at these guys selling their beautiful motor cars at such low prices. C'mon you guys, don't let it happen. Yeah, I understand you need to sell, but some are clearly worth more than they are selling for. I sometimes buy 'Just Cars' or 'Unique Cars' and I see things selling for what they are really worth. Let's try and keep OUR vehicles unique.

A car, like anything is only worth what someone will pay for it - and an aging coupe is always especially difficult to sell as it has a unique appeal that restricts its market.
Yeah, it's quite sad to see these cars go for so cheap (some into the pathology delivery-type econobox price territory) and sometimes see them fall into the wrong hands (people that don't maintain them and generally treat them like crap).

Unfortunately people are worried about fuel prices! And the idea of a modified Twin Turbo car doesnt sound appetising
Let alone a V8!! Geez they must chew juice as well!
I own a 95 EF falcon. 4L 6cylinder auto. Extractors and zorst and filter. I am lucky to get 380km's round town from 60 litres!
Damn i get 500-550km's round town in my 220rwkw ( bout 280kw @ the engine or more),12.7 second street car that has twin Turbos!
I guess you cant explain to people how it works...
If only people knew what they were missing out on!
But thats the thing. We are all in this club and others because we are devoted fans of the Soarer as a motor car! UNfortunately thats not a big population. And for most whom know about them, already own them! And we sit back and watch these Beauties go fro what we think is ridiculous prices!
Thats the market though. DOnt forget... If i told you i could sell you a Full House Modified custom 1991 BMW coupe for $25-$30,000....
You would tell me what bridge to jump off! Hell, you would probably even throw me off!
When you look at it from outside the square, we own 15 year old cars!
When people can spend $25-$30,000 and buy a BRAND NEW economical Car with all the options and Saftey features and Air Bags with 3 years /100,000km warranty(Minimum)..... Thats why people dont buy these exotic cars!

Hell I had a 91 Falcon i used to race! Just spent over 6k on an engine rebuild! New box at 2.5k, slotted discs and twin spots all round.
Basically over 4 years i spent about 15K on it! Ghia interior the works!
I sold it for 3500 with 1 months rego. 7,500km's on the engine and driveline! ANd the car was STraight! Just a sleeper.
This was 6years ago now, which made the car only 10 years old at the time! Its just how cars are! Not money to be bmade on them unless they are the TRUE collectors cars.
