That's the other option, nitrous. Nitrous also behaves as a cooling agent for the engine preventing detonation, and makes lots more power It's also a lot cheaper than water injection.

I suppose the advantage of WI is that most cops won't know what it is compared to a big NOS bottle in the back. I don't know if it is illegal or not but I can't see any reason why it would be. Then again heaps of stuff is illegal for some pretty stupid reasons.

Metho/water 50% mix on the intercooler itself, just using one of those little spray bottles while I'm waiting to run. Next time I go I'll buy a bag of ice at that servo near WSID, and put bits of ice in a collection of those Glad snap-lock bags (so they don't leak water onto the track), and just close the bonnet with all the little bags in there around the piping and intercooler. Should help with temps a little bit. Just gotta be careful that none of them fall off onto the track.

There's a guy from Toowoomba running water injection on a WRX, he did away with the intercooler altogether. It only has a short pipe from the turbo to the throttle body. I'll see if I can find the link to some pics.

Chris i dont think its a good thing to have long term. Too much can go wrong over time as a permanent application. Very fine nozzel, electric pumps and minerals in the water. In the event of a pump failure, slight blockage, etc etc etc onset detonation and even straight non-misted water could enter the intake chamber..
Have heard of some horror stories when being used with supercharged applications on the aussie ls1 forums. I know its different, but the same reliability issues remain. Its not something you can fit and forget about.
Making a bullet proof setup is probably more expensive than its worth. Just my opinion anyway, i wouldn't personally use it unless it was purely for drag use.

For those that didn't see the the thread in nsw events at WSID, I ran even quicker on wednesday night, pulling a 11.423@118.94mph with a 1.587 60ft.
Next target is a 10.9x. I did some calcs this morning and it appears if I pull 100kg of weight out of the old girl and find another 25hp at the fly, I can run a 10.99.
The new trap speed I pulled shows that the engine is making about 500hp now so I'm over the rating of this turbo and still a little more boost I can get out of it as well as better fuel, with cams and cam gears still to go.

WOOOT cant wait Ben I will be there watching and waiting. You know, Speak to Yavuz about it, But if you also went for the Martini M110 and a complete race tune for it, you will get more rwhp and aggressive timing with the tune. That will help you chase that magic 10.9something omg i just got kicked out for running a 10!!!!
I have a Blitz ECU on its way and should have it in the car by tonight..
THANKS TO NEIL at RUSH IMPORTS!!! Your tha BOMB!!!
This will eliminate my 180 speed cut issues and maybe give me a better tune for that ever so close 11.99 also.

I know you know this Daniel but make sure you put it on the dyno to recheck your FCD settings as those blitz/toms etc. ecu's are a bit of a guessing game. Good luck.

Chris, yeah thanks mate. I will be bypassing the FCD when i use the Blitz until its on a dyno and i can see how good or bad the AFR's will be
Neil was telling me he ran this ecu on his track car with the wastegate lines removed for who knows how much boost!! LOL. So it will be good if it runs nice and rich and gives me something to trim back from
