I finally did it, I ran an 11 last night.

11.940@112.26mph. Massive launch, 1.689 60'

Upload

The log in fc datalogit showed my 0-100 km/h time as 4.23 seconds. I launched at 4000rpm with 16psi of boost built up on the stall converter. I can build full 23psi of boost on the converter, in about 3 seconds on the line.

Ran a best MPH of 116.90mph. MPH was down for some reason on 11 second run. Going to investigate using my logs in excel to chart out comparisons between the runs. It's weird cause the 11 second run had a faster 1000' foot MPH than the previous run, so was actually looking at about 118mph as trap but something went wrong.

Upload

Looks like there is an 11.7 in it with a slightly better launch and the MPH up there.

The fc datalogit software is absolutely awesome. It makes anaylzing a run so easy to do. I basically do a run, while waiting for next run, I can make adjustments to gear change points, boost.. awesome bit of software.

Also daniel ran a new PB of 12.66, congrats mate. Night started but ended up a top night, pretty happy to pull an 11 on the last run of the night.

Very nice mate.

I have noticed a similar .. thing.. with my trap speeds on faster runs being slower than other runs.

ie, my pb is a 13.1, trap of around 102mph, however i have easily reaced 106mph before with a slower et.
Hopefully for both our sakes the drop in et means there are a extra few hundredths or tenths of a second to gain! =D

That is some seriously good figures there Ben, well done!!!!

What mods have you got at the moment to support that kind of speed, because for a 1.6+ tonne car, that's getting moving.

I think there would have been a lot of people that would have said that an 11 second pass is not possible in a full weight soarer with such a little turbo

Seriously, if my car isn't running some decent times next time out I might have to buy a soarer!

my runs 2, 4 and 5 put in excel,

run 2 =
12.565@113.77mph
run 4 = 12.268@116.9mph
run 5 = 11.940@112.26mph

Upload

Why is run 5 got the highest trap speed logged in fc datalogit by about 1-2ks more? It looks like WSID had a trap speed malfunction. Oh my speedo is out as well, but its consistently out on all runs.

I think they got sloppy at the end as my run of 11.94 is at 9:58pm, they knock off at 10pm.

I think that 11.94 run was run at about 117.5mph.

Oh and my 0-100 time was 4.281 to be exact.

Only two pics by badger :-(

you know the trap speed is measured from the average speed between the last two lines? If you back off at all before the second it will be down. I have done that before.

If you didn't then, yeah I would think that the timing was off on that one which is a bit strange for a world class facility.

BTW your 116.9mph is an indicated 297rwkw so you are fighting above your weight :-)

Ben, the difference is only 4mph. It seems a lot I know but perhaps you wheelspun on the 116 and got your rear whel speed up but lost time. The 112 might have stuck the whole way down. Wheelspin can often result in a higher speed but obviously a slower time.

It stuck like glue on both runs. You'd see wheel spin on data logs with non linear differential between engine rpm and vehicle, and there is not.

Like Luke said. Wheelspin will get you a better mph but slower time. I have found this out.

I also have seen in the same night, run higher mph with slower 60 foot times and slower et's!

And yeah, Make sure you stay on it until well after the line:-)

Relative Humidity = 98.. Does this mean it was very humid?

Unfortunately badger and fullsickphotos only got me doing burnouts. I gotta say but that my new setup pulls fully sick burnouts now :-) It's nearly like a v8, Light brake, bit of throttle and they are both up in smoke in no time.

Ok here are some of my logs,

Upload

Advanced boost map traced. Highest average of 1.70 kg/cm2. This is about 25psi. Average but over the whole run is about 1.6kg/cm2.

Upload

Advanced Knock map traced. Highest average of 15.7 is pretty good. You can see the knock later in the graph as it gets noisy at the top end of the track as heat builds up, but average is still ok.

Upload

Injector duty map traced. At the top end of the track it gets richer as heat builds up. Gets close to 70% by the end.

Upload

This is basic knock map traced. Slightly different to advanced knock. Should use both when looking at knock in engine. Basic has average of 14.9, this is good.

Upload

Values at the start of the run right when brake was released. 1.11kg/cm2 of boost and 4016rpm.

Upload

First gear change at 7163rpm.

Upload

Second gear change at 6887rpm. Converter locks after this change.

Upload

End point of drag run.

So assuming someone bought a stock TT soarer for say 10k how much would it cost to get to an 11 second pass ie ( value of all the equipment on your car ) ?
