| Well I've finally got her sitting how I want to.....I had her lowered a few weeks ago, and sent my wheels off for repair (just some gutter rash). For those of you in Sydney, I can recommend Wheel Centre Repairs in Thornleigh for wheel repairs. They are very resonably priced and did a good job, especially given my Work rims are chrome plated alloy. - Other places were a bit apprehensive about doing them. Once I'd picked them up, I took them straight to Jax in Thornleigh to have new rear tyres fitted, and my existing front tyres refitted. I went for Falken FK452 in 275/35/19. Wasn't a fan of Falken from previous experiences, but the guy at the shop assured me this new line was good and they were one of the few choices in the size I wanted. My car doesn't have a huge power output at the moment (160kw @ wheels) so even cr@p 275s would cope well. Anyhow, I wrapped with how it sits on the new suspension and how the wheels fill out the guards (no rubbing what so ever). The rears are 19x9 with a +50 offest and you'd be lucky to fit a pen between the guard and the top of the tyre. Here's some pics I took today.......

| Thanks guys.....appreciate your kind words. I know I'm preaching to the converted, but you can't get the looks, luxury and performance from any other car, for anything like the same money, in my opinion. I remember reading Unique Cars some eight years ago dreaming of owning a Soarer. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to have such a beautiful car. Might have to keep this one I think! |

Just reasonably minor gutter rash Muz. Maybe a couple of gouges that may have required a squirt with the TIG welder before linishing back and polishing. Cost was $150 per rim.

Hey Lew............ Well she's a little better than when she left you last year. - I've done a BFI and I also fitted straight through rear mufflers. I'm collecting some bits now, as funds allow. I recon I got the last brand new Power FC in captivity, which the Fedex man is delivering on Tuesday. I'll get myself a Greddy Vspec cooler, some 440 squirters and a nice 3.5" metal cat like we talked about, then get her off to Yavuz at Unigroup for tuning. I have to investigate the airflow meter limitations further too. Might have a go at the airflow meter bypass as described on Autospeed. http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2424/article.html |

| Cheers Colin - nice to catch up again mate. I didn't have the car measured before and after Aka (Pedders quote 30mm for their "Sports Ryder" springs, which I used). I had it done with the standard 8 spoke wheels still on and my initial thought was the back was too low. I left it however, as the rear tyres I was going to, and did put on, are one series taller than the "correct size". - 35 series instead of 30 series. I know it throws the speedo out, but I wanted to fill the guards out a little more and I felt the car was was too short in the gearing. Anyhow, I'm very happy with how it turned out. |
