I am looking at buying a Japanese imported Soarer with a 2.5 TT engine. My only concern is the availability of parts in Canada for this car. I would love to hear back from fellow Canadian members about this. Is their a Canadian parts book out there? I have spoken to both the local Toyota and Lexus dealer and basically they both told me good luck even finding an oiler filter for it!! Would love to hear all your feed backs positive or negative.
Don Bagnall Moderator New Zealand I have WAY less Soarers than Hayden :-(

Hi and Phil.
Did you get the PM I sent you from the TIF site re part numbers and talking to some of our established Canadian members?
ps: There is NO Canadian parts book, as Soarers were never sold NEW outside of Japan. However, having said that, I and several other members have access to the JDM Toyota parts EPC, and can provide you with all OE part numbers pertaining to your Soarer.

Hi Phillippe, I'm over in Edmonton. Toyota and Lexus are a bunch of prick. Bullshite you will have a hard time finding an oilfilter. Parts are a little bit more difficult to get a hold of but there are now a lot of soarers being parted out at the local importers so parts are definately available. If you need any more info or have any questions you want to ask me feel free to pm me and i'll take more time to answer any questions i can.

I live in Florida, usa.
90% of everything interchanges with either a 93-98 Toyota Supra, 92-2000 Lexus SC300, Toyota Avalon, and Isuzu Rodeo.
If you can't find something weird.. Castle Hill has it
Oil Filter? Standard Toyota Part. You can get one at any auto parts store. If you can't then they suck, because 10 other toyota products use the same one.
Water pump? 2JZGTE Supra. Timing belt? Isuzu Rodeo 4 banger. Spark plugs? 2JZGTE Supra Accessory belt? 2JZGTE Supra
Front/rear mail seals, headgasket, valve cover gaskets, thermostat, clutch fan, radiator shrowd, most sensors (exclude map, thats soarer only, TPS is 4runner)? 2JZGTE Supra
Manual transmission parts? MKIII 7MGTE Supra (except flywheel).
Auto transmission parts? Lexus SC300
Brakes and suspension? Lexus SC300 or MKIV Supra (same)
Exhaust? SC300 or Soarer (2JZGE SC300 and 1JZGTE Soarer share identical exhaust systems, and both bolt to the factory downpipe with no mods)
Interior parts, body panels, bumpers, body kits, window glass, lights, bulbs? Lexus SC series any year to get any look you want.

I got no problem helping people with parts discussions for us westerners. I've at one point owned two 1jzgte SC300's for over a year, never had a problem finding parts within a few hours.

Yeah, most parts are pretty interchangable with the 2jz. The windshield has easily been the trickiest thing to source. 1JZ parts are a lot easier to find in the states as there are dealerships that will help out. Castle hill for example. Elmhurst also caters a bit. Now there are more and and more importers that are bringing over parts cars as well so it's worth it to ask around.
