The R/H oil cooler line from the auto trans (near sway bar) is the pressure out if you need to flush your trans fluid or figure out which line to plumb in an external oil cooler

Dont quote me on this but.. In the boot there is 2 "pressure vents" This prevents the large pressure change caused from slamming the boot closed and hearing it in the cabin. ( I think, what else would they be for? )

It's so the boot closes with minimal effort... having a completely sealed boot makes it much harder to shut due to increasing pressure when closing.

In fact I've seen some soarers with those child seat hooks fitted right behind the sub closer to the rear window. Compliance does not require removal of the middle seat belt. Perhaps previous owners found it annoying and removed it themselves rather than just keeping it under the seat.
We had a middle rear belt in both Soarers (privately imported). When we bought the '97 over to Au we had to have child restrain points fitted but they couldn't fit one in the middle, even though we don't have a sub. The Place for the sub weakens the spot the bolt has to go through. |

I managed to buy a new one through Castle Hill Toyota a few years ago. I had searched without success for quite a while before they came good. The LS400 filter is smaller and could possibly be used with a blanking plate.

Yeah the air purifier filter above the fuel tank is discontinued for the earlier makes and is rare so $500. I think 96+ they are readily available at around 4150. Was trying to find out if they are the same dimensions but no luck.

I have a 93 tt with an air purifier. By the sounds of this I shouldn't even look for a replacement filter. To be honest I haven't looked at it yet to see how clean it is but it smelled pretty bad when I turned it on for the first time yesterday. Its on the to do list with along with the reverse beeper and air con filters. Is the red button on the auto for disengaging the shift lock when the keys out? Its about the only button with Japanese writing on it.

When you have got the wipers on in the intermittent mode, as you drive off, it will immediately sweep, even if the time interval has not elapsed.

Stuart, it actually works thus: whatever mode your wipers are on, they drop down one mode when the car becomes stationary. As soon as the car starts moving they kick back into the mode they were in before. However, if you have an indicator on they stay in the mode they were in before the car became stationary. Quite a cool feature I thought.

It existed in my 1994 V8 Limited, except that my recollection of the feature is this: - On the three slowest settings, there is no change in behaviour, stopped or moving. - On the fastest intermittent setting, the wipers will stop when you are at a halt and will go steadily faster (speed-sensitive) as you accelerate, reaching continuous operation around 40 Km/h. Someone who still owns one, and has rain about, might like to check these things with a passenger and stopwatch. It may be some combination of what Brenton and I said.

got one i posted before but dont know if anyone thought it useful...when your fuel sender rod stuffs up you can kinda clean it without removal by putting a container or two of wynns spitfire injector cleaner in the tank. 2. if you want your emv to be at full brightness at night rather than going darker you go to the brightness setting and hold down the maximum brightness key for a few seconds.
