A tragic event took place early sunday morning that has devastated myself and many others, A good mate of mine, close as a brother was killed in a fatal car accident.
It was this mate that first took me for a drive in the soarer and i fell in love with them instantly, i bought one a week or two later, it was the same car that popped my soarer virginity that took his life in the accident.
The report says it was a 2001 model soarer, it appears they have no idea, it was a 1992 model.
Pretty distraught, its a reality check, be careful on the roads, no matter how fun it is to go fast, pick your place and the street is generally not the best choice.
I'm by no means innocent of this, guilty as the rest, speed demon by nature but this tragedy has somewhat mellowed and scared me. My desire and nerve has somewhat diminished.

damn, not good at all!!!
There is a time and place for fast driving, skids, and other things, and sadly it's not our public roads, but when someone you know, or someone from your club passes away, it really hits home.

Its always a terrible waste when someone so young dies like this, it certainly made me stop and think about how I should be driving and that all of toyotas hard safety work isnt a protection from my own occasional irresponsibility.
Atleast it seems he dies doing something he loved, with a car he loved, thats nothing compared to the loss of a life but its more than alot of us are lucky enough to get.....
