Know someone who is in the process of putting a 2J into a V8 soarer, and am just wondering if anyone else has done it... or does it make too much sense to just change over from the 1J??

I think its a bit easier with a JZZ30, as you already have bigger brakes, and you can use the existing wiring loom and a few other bits that are needed, depending on what your 2JZ-GTE has come out of. Also the dash has the right rev limits shown etc.
