I was wondering how long before Callum spooged all over this thread haha.
I think a 12sec Soarer could be possible on a budget of 10k, but I would start with something crumby, strip the interior etc, hack bits out. I wonder if you were to sell bits of the interior, giving yourself funds, could you then spend that on the car and keep under a 10k budget? hehe

my manual 1jz-gte tt did 170kw at the wheels the other day when I bought it, 3.5" exhaust half the way and a pod filter.
Its in a whole other league from anything Ive owned before and i already want more power...I cant imagine savging her to go faster though, ripping out that well deigned back seat for 100kgs would be a crime.

A separate thread which has article uploads of all soarers featured in a magazine (soarer central members or not) in one place would be good! Where's Vinh when you need him...

Image might be the best because its easier to imbed in a website.
Perhaps if such a thread or forum section could be setup the imposed image size restrictions could be removed so that images could be imbedded in to the forum? Rather than links?

Yeah, I like the posting them up as image too, saves time messing around with converting it to pdf. But I doubt image size restrictions would be lifted.
Vinh, converting the pictures into pdf, does that require some ying yang dark magic or something or is just straight forward in Adobe Professional? Not sure if we are going off topic here.. hahaha
Can do it for free. You us it like a printer. Whilst it's not a PDF editor, it's flexible enough for the average person's needs (Can print multiple documents to the one PDF etc.)

135kW for a stockie. Must be a sick engine then.
Humm, I already have the Soarer, Jaycar DFA and EBC, Front mount (no piping), dump pipes, 3" cat, cannons. I dynod 178RWKW last dyno day, with only the cannons fitted.
Hopefully when the 1JZ gets finished in the VN it should be a quicker than that. It'll be a lot lighter than the Soarer. Ive stripped it completly and have a single light weight seat to go in. This saturday Im dry icing the sound deadner off.
Once shift kit, mini spool, boost on stock turbos is raised (with a full 3" exhaust and no cat, it might not need it) I hope that I can get into the low 12s. Im also going to put in a 4.11 diff instead of the stock 3.08! Not, so friendly for drag racing with a toyota transmission.
Lots of work to be done though. All Ive done is the engine mounts.
