Hi,
I've used Peter Pilkington for years but with his retirement, need to find someone new. I have so many problems with the car, it's not funny and have had no joy with the regular local clowns!
I've been through the list of mechanics on planetsoarer and also the other threads on this website. Is Niall Bond really the only option in Sydney?

If you have a heap of problems with the car,maybe its worth going out of your way to get it done right. After my experience with Niall i honestly wouldn't take it anywhere else. I work on the northern beaches and tried a few mechanics around there but in the end decided its well worth going the extra distance. I reckon anyone on this forum who has taken their car there would agree

+2 votes for this great guy Niall. Our impressions of he professional skills can be summarised as:
*He does the job. *He also proactively assesses the car and helps to prevent little problems growing big. *He provides a number of options and listens to your feedback. He is not a sort of mechanic who would push you to replace every part of your car. *He knows the suppliers and the ordering does not take ages.

The best thing I ever did was take my car to Niall to get a transmission problem sorted out. He's doesn't try to get you to pay his rent and loves a challenge. I live out near Narellan and don't mind making the trip, he's good value even if you just talk to him.

Exactly Jan, If you have being going to Peter Pilkington for all those years then you would have had worked performed by Niall by some stage. As Niall did work for Peter.
As everyone else has said, Niall is the man to see, top bloke i dont think you could find a better mechanic in the Sydney area at all, his done all my work on my car and ive had heaps done by him. Plus as Jeff said his side kick Daniel is a good bloke aswell.
