| Finally decided to post pics, some mods done earlier others more recent. Would also value input on the dyno figures as they mean squat to me even though the tuner went over this with me one is air/fuel ratio, other is torque.

Tim, could you elaborate on futher mods to make it look stock, I am very interested Also, what do you guys think about my dyno figures? Are they about right? I have planned an SAFC 2 (black faceinstall and tune somewhere in the near future. Hope to reach over the 200rwkw mark and better fuel consumption? Is that asking too much? |

| Well, the safc install and tune "somewhere in the near future" happened today Will post dyno graph some other time. It was tuned at Torque Performance by Dave (friendly and knowledgeable bloke) but boy do they charge Max power was 215rwkw on 13.7psi with boost controller turned off. AF ratio is 11:1 when on 13.7 psi of boost looking at this sheet and I think that's what the tuner has set it to anyways... Interesting thing, I still have an issue with boost cut and is starting to me off. It seems that boost still wants to keep climbing up and up and my ebc still wont manage it, thats why he turned it off. Before all these mods, boost cut used to occur around 4500rpm. When I installed my Greddy ebc, it was a little more manageable and did not hit boost cut as much. Anyways, with the safc installed and ebc turned off, the tuner reckons boost cut will not occur until and over 6000 and 7000rpm. So after all the exhaust mods etc, I will look into installing a high flow cat and see if it stems the flow enough to manage boost. Hope I made sense?? |

| Don, thats the thing, I have removed the dang cat I and a few others suspect that it is causing overboost, just shows how restrictive the factory set-up is. We also suspect that the wastegates are dirty or mucky?? Anywhoo, it has been an expensive exercise trying to remove or manage boost cut completely BTW Don, I have moved from Sheepland to Dorkland The sheep here seem a little more classy and sophisticated |

| Some details of engine stuff: 2JZGTE engine from 98 6speed manual Supra done 49,000kms. Fitted with: Used original loom and ECU's modified thickwall polished stainless extractor manifold New modified Turbonetics T61 turbo (backcut shaft, bigger comp, etc etc) New TIAL 44mm VBand external wastegate 550cc US spec injectors Comes with new Earls braided turbo oil feed & return lines Sure did cost a fair bit but it had to be done No thing better than getting that extra bit when you buy your first home, I have a good relationship with my bank manager now Mark, yes it was on trademe a while back, belonged to Brendan from A1 turbos, whom also made the transplant. Very happy with the work he did. |

| Wow, Awesome Shyam. I couldn't think of anything better to have as a turbo car. 2JZ Turbo Soarer... Very nice. Looks like a perfect job on installation too! How does it perform compared to the original 1JZ? fair more torque down low Im guessing? Any dyno figures for the 3.0l Turbo? |

| Darryn, no as Brendan was too busy adn I was in a hurry to get it out, got the Tama boys in henderson to do em, quite a bit of work as they weren a"perfect fit" as the thingamajiggy had swelled on the end and had to do some tedious filing so it would fit in straight etc...didnt think it was going to be that hard but yeah...thems the beats. Mike, goes relly well, heaps more torque down lowm and no need to get much boost uphill,..if your familiar with that road that is pretty much vertical off queen st in the city, it does pretty well climbing up it. love the work and craftmanship that has been put into this, wish i could say i done it but yeah right!!! Trying to for clean/stealth look and then when you opne up the bonnet OH MY FAARRRRFN ........! which kinda sums up the desired effect I want. |

| Car was dyno'd a week or so ago producing 250odd rwkws without doing anything major on the dyno even though they spent a good couple of hours talking turkey to me about this and that, but pretty much ended up coming out of that session $300 less (fair price I must say given the calibre/reputation of the tuners) but one thing that me about all this is that they say that my car in its current state is UNTUNABLE! I would like to dispute that statement but I have no knowledge(being blatantly honest here) to judge them, BUT why is is that others have said that it is very possible (or not) to tune in it's current state without chasing ridiculous figures (which I dont want anyways, would be more than happy with a reliable daily and power at your disposal type sort of thing)...one confused mutha Thats my rave for the day, onto a happier note, car is going on the dyno (again) this week, it was fitted with a bosch044 intank so will be interesting how much it produces on the rollers and what the tuners have to say... for those of you who knew of this engine package when I was asking about it a wee while ago, the whole point of it was to do have a straight drop in (achieved and hassle free motoring All i can say is be prepared to spend mega bucks if youre going down this path... ps- the point of this post was to have a stab at power figures hmmm, wonder if this pump will solve my problems... |

are you having leaning issues? if not then i dont see it doing anything major to your power figure. |

| Muz, I am led to believe between 3000-4000rpm, it runs lean but then the tuners have said they have richedned it up after that...but told me not to drive it too hard, i.e after 5000rpm be wary...should have posted dyno sheets but they are FUBAR due to The scope for tuning was limited as I have an apexi safc which can only do so much, which is why I am leaning towards something like an ultimate or hks f-con is (which is something i aint too keen on because i was led to believe my current management system would be enough), will see after this week. |

| hit 300rwkw today, 1 to 1 ratio, as in power on the road...14psi boost... was happy with that considering issues i've had to deal with. No management, safc does the job nicely, drives like a stocker Definitely a good 'base' to work from. Post sheets later. Peace out. |
