the cheap ones on ebay dont include much at all but trans and a battery, everything else you ahve to buy on top... if thats a complete kit, and its $300 aus, thats cheap as chips.. even if its USD its stil cheaper than 450

I'm curious Ben, which model shop is that?
its hobby habit on daws road mate.
i went down and brought mine the other day, they have a complete 'drift package' for 495.00 thats any of the cars in the yokomo drift range, inc the soarer! the kit comes with absolutley everything...all servos, speed controller unit, batteries, motor, trigger unit, and a whole heap of other stuff...if you buy just the car its literally just the car,so its real good value
i brought some carbon sticker sheeting and some gold gt-c's! and a few other bits so now she can be a minature of mine!
and they also have a full on drift track inside the shop out the back, even have comps on wednesday nights! well worth a look

I have the HPI soarer body, and it looks light years better than the Tamiya one.
The best part is the headlights. There is a clear section that goes on the outer surface, and then a section that goes beneath the surface of the body onto a moulded headlight section.

myself and benny just spent 4 hours putting my yokomo one together....what an effort that was! almost worth paying the 120.00 to get it assembled at the shop! but she does do fair nice skids!
little hint for people,if your going to paint the shell the red metallic make sure you use a flat red after as the metallic is very translucent,i used white after and made it a bit better but i saw it with the second coat of flat red at the hobby shop and looks much nicer.
I've got a 1/10 nitro car on lay-by atm. Getting a Murciellago shell with it, and have a JZA80 shell on the way too. Nothing like a 3.4kw motor in a car that only weighs 1100g

Nah man, keep it clean, sleeper spec! lol
Brendan did go all out and get some GT-C's with some phat offset, some of them would look pimp on a silver car! I'm just hanging out for my set of soft tyres to come in too. The hard ones are great for sliding, but the soft ones will grip on glass! Also toying with the idea of a carbon top plate, I won't be happy until its pushing 100km/hr
