Hmmm wow did they change the 'Operating system' view on the later year EMV cars?
Would make sense as 1991 tech vs 1997 tech... we are talking big changes in the PC world and so it would filter though to something like an EMV I guess.

'and Luke what is RGB+S .??...'
Red, Green and Blue colour signals using a separate sync. RGB is a term commonly used in video transmission and display, and in this case relates to the actual colour signal connectivity.

Dave, Certainly interested. Have tried a few Japanese students here at the university as translators, but the Japanese automotive language is very specialised and most young Japanese don't even know what it means in Japanese, let alone the English translation!

I've found my brother very handy. He's a reasonably well-travelled karate instructor and speaks decent Japanese. Little bastard orders everything in Jap when we go to this teppanyaki joint on everyone's birthdays, and they give him free sake.. grrr. He told me most of the kanji throughout the Soarer are phonetic representations of the English language, and has managed to pick out a lot of the sounds to tell me what things mean. He had a whale of a time playing with all my fuel/trip screens on the way back from dinner one night.
Next time I see him I'll have to shout him a few beers to sit in the car with me and translate some stuff while I write it down; more on that later.
