Actually this one isnt that dodgy.
Employing the kickass welding/fab skills of Tom (guy who is usually at the drags with me for those who show), we (I helped with menial tasks haha) whipped up this in 6 hours this afternoon.
It is a little cutout that sits just below the rear axle and when opened up, turns the nice manageable quietish no drone exhaust into a 2.5" extractors->resonator-> out system, very loud, no restriction, all good.
At the moment there is a blanking plate that needs to be bolted on/off, but tom is making a bespoke vacuum operated butterfly valve to bolt on to the end so it will be controllable from the cabin.
Its difficult to capture just how loud it is in video because the camera mic didnt like it, but you get an idea.

Hot rods have a very similar thing to what you have there now with side pipes, zoomies (headers that come straight out of the heads), etc. all of which are totally legal.. its only the noise issue of when its open you'll get into trouble about.
Mind you, it all depends on the specimen you get.. if it wants to be a prick, you'll get a defect notice.. if you get a reasonable one, then you'll be fine... as long as you aren't flaunting it all time..
