Pretty much Lexus has all the luxury options, but Soarer has all the cool options.

Like luxury standards, such as leather, memory seats, wood grain, CD stackers, auto tinting rear view mirror, and sunroofs are standard on a Lexus...just to mention a few.

They also get a dodgy aerial on the back of the car where as the JDM ones are stealth. :-)

Most V8s have those features Dave, they're certainly not unique to the American cars.

So sum up - main differences are LHD, analogue dash and the badges.

And its certainly not worth buying a Lexus badged car at a higher premium in Australia.

To clarify, when you buy a Lexus here it is a Luxury car where as all the comfort features are standard...ie-leather, sunroof, etc...
You CAN'T get one without those features if you tried.

The only real difference is the gauge cluster. 165mph/8500rpm analog. It works perfect on the 1jzgte ecu btw.

Other then that, the Soarer's got all the "luxury" mods.

Lexus seats above

Now the real question is how do we retrofit that sexy gearstick into our soarers?

Anyone know of other differences?

There were many options things that differed
- Lexus Mats
- Lexus 1st aid kit in boot (94+ soarers have a hole in boot in LHS for this)

Joshua, About 3 yrs ago I found this link to a Jap Soarer site which tells ewe how to do the shifter conversion using a Celsior/LS400 5spd. shifter assy.
It's translated (sorta) but the pics are helpful.
