Do you think it is necessary to disconnect my battery for just 3 weeks storage?

No.

I leave mine for upto 6 months at a time. As long as the thing is in good working order and has no 'voltage leaks' you should be A-OK.

When I was in Darwin I was a bit more careful, due to the high heat and evaporating battery fluid problems. I still left it for up to two months at a time up there with no issues.

For me not having the alarm on whilst I'm away (which is a lot) is more of a concern.

BUt then again its not really THAT hard to disconnect a battery... so why risk draining it?

As long as your car is parked in a good lock up garage and you dont NEED to have your alarm on (if you have one)

Both good points guys. I think I'll just leave it connected as the battery is new and the car will be in my garage.

I would still prefer to have the alarm onm even if its locked up... wouldnt want them to have easy access if they got into the garage!

Id leave the battery connected and stick the car on chassis stands so that the tyres dont warp.

Maybe if I just do burnouts it'll make them round again.
Oh, then there's the front ones to worry about.

Hmmm sounds fair, though does it include polishing it (and his car)??

For that money, you can polish what you like.
