Hey all from Perth,

I am looking at another soarer maybe tonight... I still am looking for someone who can do pre-purchase inspection and actually knows what to look for.

Were do you Perth owners get your soarer serviced? Reason I ask is maybe they can have a look at this one for me. I need someone who knows japanese imports not a standard car mechanic which the RAC sends out.

Not being in or from Perth I can't offer any specifics, Sven, but have you thought of Lexus mechanic? They would at least be familiar with the motor. They'd probably charge like wounded bulls, as they do for their spares, though

I have no faith in dealer mechanics... I need someone who loves working on cars... not just someone whoms job it is to work on cars.

Call Joe Batarseh 0408 935 700. He is THE Soarer expert NOR. Or Phil's mechanical if you are SOR - but I don't have his number handy.

I and many other Soarer owners can vouch for Joe - hands down... Tell him I referred you...

Sven - any cars around the South Perth, Curtin Uni, Applecross area, I'd be happy to have a quick look at for you - maybe rule out any definite lemons before calling Joe in for a detailed inspection, as I'm sure he's a busy man. I know all the major "potential issues" there are with these guys, having fixed (and caused!) a few myself
