Hey guys got a few questions for your. Went through defect and only have a few minor things to remove before my car is back on the road.
Anyway my tint is too dark and I was thinking about taking the windows out and putting ones without tint in them? How hard is it to take out the drivers and passengers window and more importantly how long roughly will it take. Ive taken the door trim off before and it looks like a bit of a hassle with the guide and all from memory. Thought I’d ask before I start taking the tint off the windows as once off defect I’d still like to have tint on the windows for those hot summer days that the car will be baking in.
Also I have to put in a new drivers side seatbelt. I tried looking for a guide on here but couldn’t find one. So how do you go about removing the seat belt? An estimation of time needed to do the job would also be good. Any links to a guide would also be appreciated.
Cheers

David, I would also think it to be a non-trivial job. The catch is, that SA specifies 75% for the front side windows, which is almost transparent, if you get a regulation freak check the car. The theoretical best option would be a ceramic tint as they have much higher heat and UV rejection with lighter tints, but the film costs more and I don't know if anyone locally has experience with fitting it yet.

Ok never taken the rear trim out, is it easy and should there by anything i would want to look out for not to damage or certain things to be careful with? Im very protective over my recaro retrim haha.
Yeah no one posted about the easy or lack of with removing the windows so whilst i was at work now i ripped off the tint, that been the easy part and tomorrow morning ill hit the windows with goo remover. My tint was 35% with legal been 75% but still it didnt even look dark which was the puzzling bit, but the cops say jump so i jumped.
