I am vacuuming the car and just thought I would take a real good look to see what this was. I have had the car for 3 years and thought it was a computer for the electric seats. However, today I pulled it at for the first time. It has a small aerial thing wired to it. Check it out.

It's located under the drivers seat on the floor.

..I have no idea if it was a V8 I would say for the emv, radio or gps...

Silver box, one end looks like an aerial cable
the other has some sort of detonator thing.

I think its a radio booster? not quite sure but if it is, it doesnt work.

remove it carefully, place in a bucket of water , place sand bags round the bucket and call the bomb squad......or maybe its a radio booster.

I think it might be a remote engine starter.

I found one in my car too but under the drivers stair well, there was a long lead to an antenna that was (and still is) mounted on the parcel shelf. _ Unfortunately i have no remote to start it..

Apparently in Japan it was common in winter (when it is butt cold) for Soarer owners to start the car from inside, finish their sushi roll breakfast and then run out to a nice, warm car.

I havn't really had a good look around yet, but all i've found is a momentary switch up under the drivers footwell...so many things in these cars, t's hard to kow what IS meant to be there, and what isn't...

DING DING DING.... we have a winner.

I had the same box in mine also and even the little switch in my centre console box.... ripped them both out with no dramas.

I then used that little hole that had been left from the switch being removed to wire my IPOD connection for my headset through... NICE !
