Okay, just to clear it first, this is not a JDM Soarer with Lexus badges discussion and the confusion surrounding that. (I just had to say it in case anyone jumped to conclusions)

Anyway......... I'm wanting to confirm the key major option/model differences on the JDM RHD Soarer compared to an American marketed SC400 that is obviously LHD. Useful input here would be excellent.

These are the key differences Ive found through searching around myself.

Ive made a little table up here

The major options which they never had was air suspension and obviously active suspension systems, as well as the EMV as far as I know...

I guess they are effectively a well optioned UZZ30 simply put.

A quick correction and an addition

No rear wiper on a USDM

JDM do have Mechanical Fans at least on the JZZ30's

I've got more but i'm too tired to recall more at the moment

I don't think the SC400 has the EMV/GPS option either.
The top of the range Soarer is a much higher spec vehicle by far,why does everyone continue to downgrade there cars by putting Lexus badges on them. I think one of the only things better in the SC400 is the ECU, as it has no speed limiter.

Its label bashing Rob, same reason people wear sweatshirts with "DKNY" etc plastered all over them. I don't get the psychology behind either, but apparently it makes people feel better to have other people think they paid a lot of money for something, or that in some way its better than what everyone else has because it has a fancy label.

I have no problems with fancy labels, I just would not buy a Kmart T shirt and put a Target label on it.
