Arrgh... i've just been done for 135 km/H on Eastlink. I recall overtaking somebody and then seeing the bridge, thinking 'oh and braking. Only i don't recall getting up to 135 ... not anywhere close.
Problem is, Its not outside of the realm of possibility. It was in the first two weeks of owning the car, and the car is quite quick. I suppose if it was 135kmh i deserve to lose my license. Still ... i'm not sure if it was me or not.
On this site a few people have been complaining about the same camera ...

It was a single per-lane camera I believe. Just been in to look at the photo, and there is no other car in the frame. It was using laser measurement, and having studied enough electronics at uni I can tell you that its pretty precise. Sigh... looks like the soarer will be appearing on carsales very soon ...

I wouldnt get your hopes up.
Ive never ever heard of someone who actually knows or personally did get off saying 'there was a tree in the background' or 'it was windy' or argue that there was a car in the other lane or the film was not to australian standards!!1one (digital? maybe you have heard of it).
If someone can come up with an actual case where they have gotten off with any of the bullshit excuses people throw around ill be happy to change my tune, but until then, knowing that with speed cameras, the burden of proof is on you, I think you are pretty much screwed unless a couple of thousand other people complain that that particular camera is faulty.

As much as I appreciate the encouragement, I think Steven is being realistic. I'm not certain it wasn't my fault, so I think i'm just going to have to grit my teeth and bear it.
The capture method was digital using laser for speed measurement - which is usually spot on.
I can tell you this right now though: I won't ever be speeding again, not even 1 km/h over.
Just out of curiousity ... if you don't hold a license, can you still drive on a track ?

I wouldn't just say it for the sake of it.
friend got off using those exact excuses. not once but twice.
went to court self represented. reversed the burden of proof to the prosecution. camera did not meet Australian standard, case dismissed.
just because you have not heard of it does not mean it did not happen.
would i go in swinging my d*ck about it.... No! nothing is certain before the courts however, it might be worth a shot. i know i would fight to keep to keep driving.
