Hey guys
I called pole position in Geelong today & they gave me this story that Soarers have trouble fitting on their wheel alignment machine/hoist. Said for me to come in sometime next week and see if it fits.
If they don't want my business who do you guys recommend in the Geelong/Melbourne area? It's a uzz31 with Bilstein suspension and 17inch rims, it can't honestly be that hard for them to give me a wheel alignment.

Yeah, sounded suss giving me a lame excuse as to why they probably couldn't give my car a wheel alignment. I guess that's a good enough reason not to go to them.

ozzy tyres told me they couldn't give me a wheel alignment on the rims hey sold me because my suspension was controlled by my ecu and they couldn't legally change factory settings......

Youd be suprised, We had to take my bumper off just to align my car. Happens alot when you dont have the newest alignment machine. (laser beams dont go under your car, they hit the bumper and hence dont work)
The only other problem is sometimes getting it on the aligner.

Wow some weird experiences.
I can completely recommend Pedders in Ferntree Gully. A long way for you . They do many alignments on Soarers as they are near SLC and they took care of me. Not the first time either. They did good by me many years ago when I needed a new power steering pump for the commodore.
I asked them to adjust the height of my car too. They did it for a good price (I think) and even let me bring the car back for fine tuning if I decided it settled to low. If I need any other suspension work I can't do, that's where I will be taking my car.

Ha, I went to Pedders in Ferntree Gully for a wheel alignment (through Doug at S&LC), and when I got the car back the steering wheel was off about 20 degrees when the wheels were straight. They did fix it for me pretty quickly though. I also noticed when I went through them, the car still tram lined on the freeway, where as when I went through Tyre Power in Frankston the car felt perfect, no tram lining what so ever.
They did give a pretty reasonable quote on swapping from airbags to pedders though.

Not in Melbourne, but I had the bushes done by my local Bridgestone Tyre Centre, and a wheel align, and have had no tyre wear issues yet. done well over 20,000ks.
