I was driving along, and a whole bunch of warning lights came up on my dash. Next thing, my lights are dimming, and cd player stops working. So I gunned it to my mechanics place, as I was rolling up the driveway, the car died.

Its either the battery or the alternator, what does it sound like?

I'd say alternator.

Exactly what my car just did a few weeks ago on a cruise...had to make friends push it 2km home

Check the fuses first. What happens when you try to jump start it or turn it on?

check your pulley tensioner bearings. if thats screwed the alternator wont work even if its in perfect condition

Well, Once it died, It did the dead battery thing, like the ticking noise. But then it managed to start after I left it for an hour. I kept my revs high and it didn't stall, but as soon as I let it idle, it choked and died.
