I had minor cracks in the material around the screw holes closest to the door hinge. I took the panel off and found enough spare material to cut off with a pair of scissors. I made these perfectly round and made a round hole in the centre to put the screw back through.
Then I found a flat steel washer to glue to the back of the material (material about 30mm dia. and the washer about 15-20mm dia.) I also added two more washers just to pack it out a little.
After screwing this back on, I was then able to (very carefully) super glue the material washer to the cracked material and no more cracks showing.
