Hi Guys,

First of all, sorry if it's in the wrong forum, but I figure I'll get more replies here.

I use to own a '91 Soarer V8 back when I was living in Melbourne. Now I'm living in Dubai and looking for a new car, so I figure why not a 4 door Soarer?

I'm currently interested in getting this '99 GS400 http://dubai.dubizzle.com/classified/autos4x4s/2009/6/22/lexus-gs-400/

There's not a lot of information about it, so I'm planning to go have a look at it in the next few days and was hoping some of the experts here might be able to tell me the things to look out for.

i think thats a 4wd vvti 1uz car. pretty good imo

I can confirm that it is a 1UZ-FE VVTi. If anybody knows what common problems I should look out for, please do let me know. I'll be going to take a look in the next few days. Can't wait!

I really like that model and will seriously be looking to buy one but the Aristo 2JZ version if I ever choose to get rid of the Soarer.

The 1UZ-FE model was not imported to NZ/Australia as a Lexus model unfortuantely, only the 2JZ-GE GS300 - But you can find the odd 1UZ-FE 4WD Jap Import Aristo's around, which is just the same thing with a Toyota badge.

The (2WD) GS400 was sold only in North America, I believe.

The 4WD Zi-Four Aristo was the earlier shape.
