hey guys has anyone got a link on how to remove the hi beam lights to replace? replaced my low beam and parkers and had a peak at the hi beam (as they look shabby now along side the new lows)and it looks like a major job going in blind.

Mate its not hard at all...A 10 mm socket and a widgit removal tool and you can have them out and back in in a couple of hours..and thats including the low beams as well..Just be carefull with the clip at the front of the High beam support..it is a push on one so ya need a small screw driver (pointy type to flick it off)..after you have done them half a dozen times either changing lights or drying them out you can do them by feel..

yeah took me a while to get mine apart for a front mount (previous setup) took me 2 days as had it out the back and kept pissing down rain then id pack up and it would stop so get everything back out then rain again.. done this about 8 times over the weekend lol just alot of little bolts just use a pack of resealable packets and tape it to the part you took it off with cause you will end up with alot.

No, fog lights are pretty east to get out - there are just two nuts on either side, and one nut on the top. The nut on the top is a bitch to get at, but you can do it from under the car by just taking the wheel arch cover bolts out and folding the plastic back. I didn't put the top nuts back in as they seem pretty redundant.
Just had to dismantle, clean and re-seal my mains on the weekend due to incessent leaking. Thats the 4th and 5th time I've had to do this job on a Soarer, and my god I hope I never have to do it again! I am so sick of that horrible grey gunge! Three hours scraping that off with a old chisel and a heat gun!
Still, the lights now look fantastic again and thanks to the new silicon seal, no more leaking! (I hope!)
Just out of interest, with this set of lights it was very clear where the water had been getting in, you could see where the grey gunge had let go in the corners near the outside studs as dirt had been washed in along with the water. I confirmed this before I dismantled them by dipping the lights into a bucket of water and watching the water rush in.
