went over the pits today expecting massive problems but not to shabby..
all tyres perfect
i have to rectify oil leaks(theres only 1 or 2) install a washer bottle(didnt come with the car yeah i know wtf?) fit rear wiper fit HIGH STOP LIGHT(?? are these required on all cars now?) and replace Right Hand Inner Door handle..
a few to list but not to expensive i hope? how do i go about getting a washer bottle installed...

the washer bottle will be pretty easy to do, just buy one form someone who is wrecking their soarer and put it on. just wondering why did they tell you to replace the rh inner door handle ?? how did they even check that ?

they take it for a drive around the block for part of the roadworthy test... bs i know?
umm since i don't have a washer bottle, i really don't know where it located..? haha with the washer bottle, what about the hoses that connect to the bottle? i'm glad it didn't turn out to be a HUGE problem
basically from what i can tell, everything is available 2nd hand by the looks off it, bar the HIGH STOP LIGHT? unless some soarers are already fitted with this.

the center brake light is on the parcel shelf.
but if its a rearwiper equipped car the center brake light should be in the spoiler. so if you don't have a spoiler then the car would of had one installed but someone has removed it and the light..

Ty I have been looking at removing my high mount stop light recently, so I suppose if you want you can have it? Dunno about the wiring and stuff - probably just comes from the brake light loom - or the wiring is already there and just needs to be connected.
Does your car have a rear spoiler with brake light? Because if so, its apparently illegal to have both. Thats why I'm removing my parcel shelf one.
The washer bottle - that is just weird - how does a car NOT have one? It's located in front of the left front wheel - inside the bumper - and a little neck sticks up next to the battery. But very strange you don't have one, lol.
You gonna make it to the cruise on Saturday? We don't mind you have a canary - we know you are getting it fixed

Also did your car have a rear wiper as standard? I thought it was only an option on 30's and standard on 31's. My car doesn't have one as standard, and I sure as hell hope that isn't a stickerable offence! Jeesus

Ohh, the HIGH stop light, Got it.
Thats actually for drivers who are stoned, Its a stop light, its shaped like an elephant, and is pink in colour, Good luck.
not a good idea to drive around too baked kristian, i got pulled up less than a week ago and he asked me to step out.... i did. he thought i had had a few drinks, anyway rbt'd me on the spot, nothing. took me down to the station breath tested me again, still nothing. i had to stay there overnight ! for nothing ! they told me i had to sober up even though i had nothing to drink and they tested me twice !
good news is i didnt get a ticket for speeding which is why i got pulled up in the first place.

Nathan...Welcome to the territory mate..try and get to a few gymkana's (last one was at Hughes airfield and I explored reverse to its MAX..SCARY)or drags and after that the boys in karky pass the word around that you are "rated" (number plate searches "can" have extra comments attached)and then tend to leave you alone...After a incident I had with after market Headlights and getting to know a few of them I've found them to be the very fair.

Nathan taking the car for a roadworthy is not BS, we do it on a daily basis, there are many things you can miss visually inspecting a car, when roadtesting you get to actually feel any problems in the vehicle, stuffed wheelbearings, you will hear them whinning, worn bushes, the car will dart under brakes or hitting bumps etc, buggered ball joints will cause knocking when hitting bumps etc. Vibration through vehicle under braking, warped brake rotors Wheel alignment problems etc
If you dont know what your saying mate, dont say it at all
So mate suck ya own D!#K
I appologize to all other SC members, but comments like this piss me off

sorry if i offended you or anyone else scott.... maybe down south things are different but up here i have never had an inspector ask to drive my car ever and i have been defected 6 times and gone over the pits close to 50 times. it makes sense to drive it any feel or hear what you cant see but i have never heard of anyone who has been asked to let the inspector drive their car.

"i have been defected 6 times and gone over the pits close to 50 times."
Sheez bloke...who have you upset ??
Sounds more like you are advertising to be "nailed".I go over the pits every year for the rego check only (cheapest check point in town) and had the privledge of using the testing facility at Winnellie after a "incident" but have never been defected..
