I have had a search but found nothing but old irrelevant posts. I need to find a reliable car carrier to move a car from Sydney to Perth. Preferable not MOVING CARS or Patricks AutoCare as they have stolen items from my previous cars and have service. I thought a member works in this industry or has good contacts ? Cheers in Advance.

I used Patrick Auto Care for the new car. No problems but yeah like 2-3 years ago and back they were My mate who imports cars from Japan for his company uses Patrick Auto Care religiously and brings in pretty damn expensive cars using them like FD's and R34 GTRs I reckon give Patrick a go, they are pretty much the cheapest you will find. I was only pissed as a few years back they used my car to do doughnuts on a brand new set of Advans

If you not worried about cost you cant beat these guys, ive used them once in the past and know a few people who have used them. This is a premium service though. http://cevacarcarrying.com.au/realmservices/prestige.html

I've had cars moved on several occasions though work, and they use Autotrans/Toll. I have no issue with them at all, any problems I've had have been with third parties (Quarantine being the biggest pains in the rear end of any govt dept).

We use Ceva at work for transporting all our Resin from the eastern states. Ok, so it's not a car but we transport up to $100k worth of resin at a time so we want to be sure it arrive's safely and I can vouch for Ceva's service and professionalism.

I provide security here for Toll and they have a division called Auto Express and I am sure that it is the same in Australia so you could give them a try perhaps?

Seriously Adam, for $1230 depot to depot with a company as good as CEVA, I would take it.

I might end up using CEVA. With CEVA, its going by truck to Melbourne then on a sea container across the desert to Perth by rail. Or i fly to Sydney and spend 4 days driving it over.

Too much of a risk driving it over if you haven't owned and been driving the car for a few weeks or months plus I dont think it would work out cheaper after you weigh up fuel/time.

i've had 4 cars transported and have a perfect score of damage of some description on 4 out of 4 from a broken headlight to a stinking great scrape all the way down a 1/4 panel. I would insure it heavily before you leave arm yourself with raa plus or premium road service cover with whoever does it in your state and drive the sucker

I had forgotten about the train. I remember when I worked for a camper van company years ago picking up 4 nearly brand new landcruiser troop carriers from the train station. We did not even get out of the car park with them all 4 had worn flat spots on the tyres to the point that they were undrivable they all left on a tow truck to bridgestone. It turned out 18 vehicles had not been secured properly and the rocking motion had worn the tyres where they sat on the carriage floor. 1 car had even blown out a tyre where it sat.
